For many years she lived completely off the grid using solar panels and wind for electricity and wood for heat. She grows most of her own food and is a fantastic cook. Her house is filled with art, funky antiques and eclectic clutter scattered artfully everywhere you look and interspersed with plants and flowers from the garden. Every time I visit I find something to inspire me.

Days are busy at Shangri LaLa. There are always plants and crops to be watered and gardens to be tended. Sometimes we do that in bikinis - if the mood strikes us.
