They were thrilled with the opportunity to travel, the architecture, the food and the weather. They found the weather interesting because they were life long southern Californians. They sent me lots of pictures. My mom was really excited when they got snow, and she sent a picture of the square in their small city. I came across this photo, a few years ago, and decided to give it a new life as an oil painting.
