Fine Art by artist T. Frick - Description: Each year I prep a bunch of new canvases with inspirational phrases before I begin my mark making. This particular panel was marked with the word `Hope'. As I started to paint, there was something about that phrase I wanted to hang onto. Perhaps it's because we could all use a little hope right now in our lives. As the painting progressed, it felt too forced to keep the letters so prominently displayed, so I started to layer over. And then it came to me. Hope stands strong all around us in the landscape. The trees being our pillars of strength standing strong to the next day, to the next decade. I added the left trees where the 'H' stood and thus this abstract landscape was formed as my hope for the future. Oil and cold wax on birch board. Mounted on black floater frame.
