Gerry and Melissa Rasch, GMR Creates

Husband-and-wife jewelry artists Gerry and Melissa Montgomery Rasch met in Idaho (where Gerry is from but Melissa is a Seattle, Washington native) and have spent most of their lives in the Pacific Northwest. A three-year stint in Arizona resulted in their appreciation and enjoyment of Nativ...e American art.
Gerry has worked many careers and is currently in the wine and hospitality industry in the Salem area, currently working in the tasting room at Bjornson Vineyard. He has made furniture from barn wood, and is now making jewelry with beads, lapidary, precious metal clay, polymer clay, driftwood or anything that captures his imagination.
Melissa is currently a Pharmacist at Fred Meyer in Albany, Oregon. She comes from a family of artists and grew up around art. Like Gerry, Melissa spent time working with furniture but instead of building she refinished. Rock hounding while visiting relatives in southern Idaho led her to a strong interest in stones. Beads and wire wrap are now current interests.
Gerry and Melissa have two adult children and make their home in Salem, Oregon.
