Rose and Gerald McBride
Rose & Gerald McBride wake up passionate to create new and imaginative artistry in glass from their studio neighboring the beautiful Willamette Valley Vineyard. Rose finds the mediums of stained and fused glass bring every artistic subject matter to life as the light continues to play with it throughout the day. Gerald is a hard-working retiree, woodworker and artist who began creating fused glass... art realize his dream of fusing and slumping glass and quickly found that glass art lives best in proper lighting.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Rose spent 50 fulfilling years working in both the business and nonprofit worlds. Since her retirement in 2017, Rose has pursued her glass art education through workshops with a variety of artists. Gerald is originally from the United Kingdom and after decades of creating an array of successful small businesses in the U.K., contributing his time and talents to several charitable interests, he has seized upon art in his retirement. Gerald built an ideal studio in the Willamette Valley to realize his dream of fusing and slumping glass and quickly found that glass art lives best in proper lighting.

"For us, creating art is living in a moment for an extended period of time and within that immersion magic happens. In the past, we have pursued that place of magic through Rose's oil and acrylic paintings and in creating clay figurative sculptures. Then, in 2018, Rose fell in love with the endless design possibilities glass art has in combining the interplay of light with colors both subtle and bold, and the fascination continues."
