Last fall after most of the leaves had fallen and the rain was pouring down, I came across this beautiful and varied mixture of colored leaves, They were wet and shiny and vibrant. I snapped some photos and these became the inspiration for this painting. During this time I had been caring for my elderly parents and these leaves were a reminder of the beauty in the change of seasons, not only in nature but also in the seasons of our lives.
