Thomas Lenon

Thomas works in a converted machine shed off Gopher Valley Road in Yamhill County. Making pictures has always been part of his life so he has never had to develop a philosophy of art, it just happens. For him, whatever anyone does to create anything is art. Some of it we like to hang on our walls, some of it we park in our garage, some of it we wear. In many cases art comes from one person alone, very often it is collaborative.

Thomas used to teach and practice graphic design in Seattle but now much prefers life in the foothills of the Coast Range. Local birds, and some birds that don't exist anywhere, show up in his paintings from time to time.
