Gary Lawrence has been a professional artist for more than 45 years, drawing inspiration from his deep love of nature. He founded the Lawrence Gallery in 1977, and retired from running the gallery in 2018 while continuing his art. As an artist, Lawrence bases his creations on deceptively simple subject matter - a bird hidden in the grass, a fish swimming through water or groups of flowers. He has received many awards, and has exhibited at the Mayor's Invitational Art Show in Salem Oregon. Gary's work is featured in many public and private collections.
"My work could be considered an artistic contradiction. My collaborations gracefully combine the power and strength of stainless steel and bronze as airy and light."
