Aspen Summer
Fine Art by artist Ann Cavanaugh - Description: I do love my Aspen and the county and blue sky they live in. A rolled up 10" x 8" fused glass tile that a glass blowing team rolled up into a vessel. The roll up vases were a collaborative learning experience between glass blower Andy Nichols, nicholsartglass.com, and myself. I was wanting to turn nature inspired fused glass tiles into vessels. We worked together on a number of tiles which included many different fusing techniques and a variety of glass types.

The background and angles make this piece a little "abstactish". Powder wafers, vitrograph stringers, glass lace, and glass color bar all add to the joy of this piece. Framing my fused glass in a found window frame is what I did when I first started fusing. This piece can hang inside or out in a flower garden.
