B.G. Dodson

In conceptualizing his work, Bob pulls from science, technology and religion – the key tools we, as humans, use to seek the answers to the larger questions of “Why are we here?” “What purpose do we have?” “Is there any meaning?”

Bob tries to marry these often divergent themes into a shamanistic vision of what IF, what MIGHT have been, what COULD still yet emerge. He imbues his pieces with a spirituality born of mystery, of prayers chanted in the language of mathematics and the certainty that Humanity will remain Human regardless of progress. He typically works in mixed media because it suits the mix of concepts he attempts to visualize.
